Fungal laser treatment

The latest non-thermal laser we have introduced into our clinic in the Priory Foot Clinic is Erchonia’s Laser for Fungal Nail Treatment . This Low-Level Laser Therapy devices for treating fungal nail infections (onychomycosis).

The treatments are short, effective, and automated, allowing you to save on staff costs and increase profits. There is no associated pain or reported side effects, and the technology is very safe with no health risks.

The laser is used to stimulate the fight against fungal infections and skin diseases. The Lunula Laser is a safe and effective treatment against Onychomycosis and produces impressive results when compared to our previous treatments in the MyFeet.ie Clinics.

The Lunula uses two laser (beams) to stimulate the eradication of the fungal infection Present. The laser deliver light to the cells in the form of energy. Two chemicals that are released by the cells are:

  • hydrogen peroxide, which is a natural anti-septic which attacks the fungal elements present.
  • Nitric oxide, which is a vasodilator (opens blood vessels) thus increasing blood supply and oxygen to the area.

As your body respond to these two chemicals your own immune system starts to fight fungus. This state of the art treatment also allows your body to regenerate damaged cells and tissues to allow you to grow our a new and healthy nail.
